Bright at Home Cleaning — clean, bright DFW home interior
Case Study · 2026

The site that helped bury a business.
Rebuilt to grow one.

Bright at Home Cleaning was acquired mid-2025. The previous owner sold in part because the old website did nothing — no traffic, no leads, no story. The new owner asked for the opposite: something cutting-edge, honest about who they are, that actually pulls people in from Google. Same domain. Different business. Different result.

01 · The brief

A business inherited. A site to rebuild.

A new owner was acquiring Bright at Home Cleaning. The business had bones — real crews, real customers, real reviews — but the previous website did nothing for the previous owner. No inbound leads, no Google presence, no clear reason to click "Get a quote." It was part of the reason the business ended up on the market.

The new owner walked in with a different bet: a website that looks and works like a real brand, that expands the story past a couple of ZIP codes, and that shows up in local search when a DFW household is Googling for a cleaner at 9pm. Three non-negotiables:

  • Speak out — don't whisper. A confident visual identity, a real headline, and proof (reviews, insurance, eco-friendly) inside the first screen. No template look, no stock-photo shrug.
  • Expand the map. Explicit coverage of the full Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex, a separate commercial lane for B2B accounts, and room to add specialty services (move-out, deep clean, post-construction) without redesigning the site every time.
  • Local SEO from day one. Built for how people actually search — "house cleaning near me," "maid service Plano," "commercial cleaning DFW." No afterthought, no plugin band-aid.
02 · Homepageproof above the fold · one clear action
Bright at Home Cleaning homepage — We brighten your space. You get your time back.
A promise, a proof, a phone number. The 5.0-star Google badge, the "bonded & insured" chip, and the free-quote CTA all live above the fold — because that's where the decision to click actually happens.
03 · Approach

Three rules for the build.

Every design decision — nav, service pages, area pages, schema — was tested against these three rules. If a component broke any of them, it didn't ship.

01

Speaks out

The old site whispered. The new one is designed to say who they are in five seconds — before a visitor scrolls, before Google reads the meta.

  • Editorial hero pairing a clean promise with proof (Google reviews, insured, eco)
  • One primary action above the fold: 'Get your free quote' — no funnel-tax
  • Trust chips inline (Bonded & insured · Eco-friendly · Local hours) — not buried
02

Wider service map

The previous business served a handful of ZIPs and lost to any competitor a mile further out. The new site covers the full DFW Metroplex — and says it out loud.

  • Dedicated Areas page listing every city + neighborhood served
  • Separate Commercial track so B2B leads don't get filtered as residential
  • Reusable service templates so new offerings ship in a day, not a sprint
03

Local SEO first

Beauty is table stakes. Being found in DFW is the actual job — so the site is built for local intent from the ground up.

  • City + service page architecture aligned with 'cleaning near me' search intent
  • Structured data for LocalBusiness, Reviews, and Service — indexed on day one
  • Bilingual EN / ES touches (hiring bar) matched to the local workforce reality
04 · Services

From one line to a real menu.

The old site listed "house cleaning" and left the rest as a phone-call mystery. The new site spells out every service — recurring, deep clean, move in / move out, post-construction, and commercial — each with its own page, its own schema, and its own reason to rank.

05 · Service areas

Whole DFW, named out loud.

Every neighborhood and suburb Bright at Home serves is listed by name — Dallas, Fort Worth, Plano, Frisco, Irving, Arlington, Southlake, and the rest. Not a vague "we serve the metroplex" — the actual list, indexed, so a Plano search finds a Plano page.

06 · Voice

Warm, not corporate.

A cleaning company is a trust business. So the voice is direct, human, and a little bit personal — "we brighten your space, you get your time back" is the whole pitch. Every headline earns its keep. No corporate filler, no "solutions" language.

07 · Mobile

Most people search from the couch.

Home-service searches skew heavily mobile — the site is built with that as the default. Big call button in the hero, a tap-to-quote path from every service page, and a bilingual hiring bar so job seekers can self-serve without needing to call.

08 · Results

Same domain. Different business.

We migrated the existing domain to the new site — legacy inbound links, GBP signals, and long-tail rankings all preserved — and rebuilt the story on top of it. The result is a launch that felt like a re-open, not a re-start.

Owner transition
Zero downtime
Acquired business, new brand, new site — same phone rings all through the handover.
Service areas
8 → all DFW
From a handful of ZIPs to the full Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex, coded into the site's IA.
Domain migration
301'd + kept
Legacy inbound links preserved via 301s so no ranking equity was thrown away in the switch.
Inbound traffic
Real, now
Post-launch: real Google traffic, real quote requests — from strangers, not friends of the owner.
09 · The stack

Boring on purpose.

Nothing here is bleeding-edge. Everything here is battle-tested — the owner can hand this to any developer on earth without paying a lock-in tax later.
